MEET OUR TEAM

Glenn & Michele Hires
Senior Pastor
Pastor Glenn Hires was born in Brunswick, Georgia, and raised in Pierson, Florida. After earning an associate’s degree in aviation electronics, he felt a clear call from God to preach and pursued theological training at Texas Bible College, where he met his wife, Michele. Married in 1980, they began their ministry together in Conyers, Georgia, before moving to Albany, Georgia, to plant a church, where their two children, Amber and Brett, were born.
In 1990, the Hires family moved to DeLand to pastor the Pentecostals of DeLand, a role Pastor Hires has faithfully served in for more than 30 years. He has also served in leadership roles within the Florida District UPCI, including District Missions Director and Men’s Director. Through his servant-hearted leadership, the church has continued to grow and thrive. Pastor and Sis. Hires have shared 44 years of marriage and are blessed with six grandchildren. Pastor Hires remains full of faith and vision for all that God has ahead for the church family.

Jimmy & Holly Rivera
Administrative Pastor & Music Director
Jimmy was born in New Jersey and raised in a pastoral family, where he felt God’s call to ministry at an early age. He earned a BA in Theology from Christian Life College and received his ministerial credentials in 2018. Jimmy has evangelized and served in pastoral ministry, including leading the Spanish work at GraceLife Pentecostal Church alongside his wife, Holly. He currently serves as Administrative Pastor at Pentecostals of DeLand, overseeing church operations, events, and ministry teams while leading discipleship efforts.
Holly was born in DeLand, Florida, and earned a BA in English from the University of Central Florida. Her family has been faithful members of the church since its founding, and she now serves as Music Director, leading worship and fostering a Spirit-filled atmosphere. Married in 2021, Jimmy and Holly joyfully raise their family while fostering a Christ-centered community that helps families and individuals grow in faith.

Brett & Kara Hires
Redeemed Campus Pastor
Brett was born in Albany, Georgia, where his parents first planted a church. Kara was born in Longwood, Florida, and grew up attending the Pentecostals of DeLand with her family. Brett’s ministry foundation was shaped through theological studies at Texas Bible College, followed by service as a youth pastor at POD, where he ministered to and invested in the next generation.

In 2018, Brett and Kara planted Redeemed Pentecostal Church in the Orange City/Deltona area with a vision to reach their community and create a place where people can experience God’s love in practical and meaningful ways. They remain committed to equipping believers for service and fostering a church family where everyone can belong, grow, and be encouraged in their faith.
Brett and Kara were married in 2012 and have three children, and together they continue to serve their church and community as a family.
